He Didn't Wait Another Day
Dear Friend,
Yesterday I wrote to tell you about the fat chef I
encountered in the corridor of the hotel.
I had a five-minute rap with him, told him what to
do, did not mince words and wished him well.
Well, last night I was in a restaurant with my brother
Sean and Ed Baran - and who do I see out for his first
walk - the fat chef.
I ran downstairs and walked along with him for a few
blocks to give him encouragement.
"I never thought I'd feel so good doing this," he said.
"It's hard but I actually feel euphoric."
"That'll happen to you," I replied. "Keep at this program
and the changes will come."
On Thursday evening, before I shared the stage with Jon
Herring, Dr. Al Sears and Dr. Joseph Mercola, an even
fatter man, who was 65 came up to me and said, "Matt,
I've been getting your emails for several months now. I
haven't bought any of your programs because I want to
know ... will your program work for me. I'm 65 years old
and I'm 100 pounds overweight."
I looked the man straight in the eyes and said, "If you can
still move and breathe, my programs can help."
I followed up by telling the man what programs he should
begin with, and they were no different than the ones I
advised the chef to get, i.e. Combat Abs and The Chinese Long-Life .
Now, many of you wonder how I, Matt "Fure-cat" Furey trains
these days. What am I doing for exercise each day.
Well, I can assure you that I'm not starting my day with a
cup of coffee, a smoke and some donuts.
Hell no.
I begin each day with the Chinese Long-Life . That wakes
me up energetically, from the inside-out. Then I do a series of
deep breathing exercises as well as the Royal Court from Combat
Conditioning.
Other than my evening walks, that is pretty much it right now, although
I do integrate other training regimens like jumping rope, sprints, wrestling,
swimming, kung fu practice and so on into the mix on a regular basis, too.
Overall, the key to health is movement. Once you stop moving your body
begins going to pot - and not the kind that Mr. Cann E. Bus smokes.
Twas said long ago by Eugen Sandow, "Life is movement."
How true.
The key lies in choosing the right movements for you.
