On the Road Again
Dear Friend,
Was on the road yesterday, traveling in Ohio. When retiring to my hotel room for a workout I started thinking about all the people who literally don't know what to do when taken away from their familiar gym setting.
For me, this "problem" is never an issue. Why? Because my own bodyweight is my gym.
I don't rely on physical gyms, health clubs, spas and all their metal and computerized exercise gadgets to get me into shape. Other than the power wheel, power jump ropes and chest expanders produced by Lifeline USA - what more would I need? And even those items, although helpful, are not essential for the person who truly understands how much can be done with your own bodyweight.
And so, I am never at a loss for how to exercise when I travel. As Karl Gotch used to say to me "Talk is cheap, money buys whiskey." To prove that my talk is not cheap, here are five different ways you can train when you're staying in a hotel:
1. Do sprints in the parking lot. Parking lot sprints are something I always did the morning of a wrestling tournament to wake my body up and prepare it for battle. Did it work? Well, last time I checked, I still am recognized as a national and world champion.
2. If the hotel has several floors, you can sprint to the top then do a set of pushups.
3. If you're bold like me, you can run sprints up and down the hallway. Been there, done it. Just be careful when people open their doors, heh heh.
4. Hindu Squats and Pushups inside your room. Follow the Karl Gotch Bible as shown in Combat Conditioning.
5. Isometric workouts. You can work every major muscle group in your body in just a few minutes with powerhouse isometrics. They not only make you strong, but they're invigorating as hell, too.
Well my friend, that's it for now.
Kick ass - take names!

P.S.: The quickest way to give yourself the edge in life is through the
"important" but not urgent exercises found in Combat Conditioning. Get
