How to Get Maximum Results Fast
Dear Friend,
Just finished reading an article on eFitness about 6 Keys to Maximum
Results.
It starts out pretty well, and then...
The good part... "Bodyweight workouts are phenomenal for conditioning
and weight
loss."
The bad part... "Obviously, if your goals are more specialized, some
equipment may
be necessary."
Then... "Do you want to get stronger. Do you want to build muscle. Lose
weight or
reduce
body fat. Increase endurance. Reduce stress. Are you preparing for a
sport. All
of the above. You could end up spending more money than you need on
equipment
that you'll never fully utilize."
The rest of the article is devoted to how to purchase equipment, and
maintain it.
Let's back up.
"Bodyweight exercises are phenomenal for conditioning and weight loss."
Now the writer is on the money here.
But Bodyweight exercises are also phenomenal for building strength,
muscles, and
endurance. They also reduce stress, and can be used for any sport.
You don't need any equipment. They can be done in a 5x5 space. No need
to drive
anywhere. You don't have to find a parking space, check in, change
clothes, wait
for a piece of equipment, be polite, listen to music you don't like, or
see
anyone in spandex.
What the writer is implying is that "conditioning and weight loss" is
one animal,
and strength and endurance is another. To get the latter involves
specialization,
and equipment.
That's where he is dead wrong.
Combat Conditioning
will take
care of "conditioning, weight loss, strength, and endurance."
All without a single piece of equipment.
If you want to specialize, you can add Combat Abs
without a single piece of
equipment.
You can add Handstand Training
without a single
piece of
equipment.
Or Combat Stretching
again, without a
single piece
of equipment.
The writer just can't let go of the machines, and the mindset that if
he/she
doesn't have a machine, they can't get maximum results.
It simply ain't true. You can kick maximum boo-teh with nothing but you
and
Combat Conditioning.
Yesterday had a guy write in to say, "Let's see someone who doesn't
train with
weights pull a train."
Gee, that's an easy one. Charles Atlas pulled a train and he didn't
train with
weights.
Then there was the Mighty Atom, who never trained with more than 40
lbs.- and he
performed strength feats that no 400, 500-lb. bench presser can
duplicate.
T'ain't the size of the dog in the fight, my friend. Tis the size of
the fight in
the dog.
"How much of your mind is connected to your muscle," is the way my
friend, Kim
Wood, puts it. And there's no better way on earth to connect mind to
muscle than
through bodyweight exercise.
Let's see the 'roid boys try and duplicate the feats of athleticism
done by
members of Cirque du Soleil - or good old fashioned gymnasts, for that
matter.
Yes, you can get stronger with weights. But your strength will be a lot
more
functional and a lot more useful if you ditch the weights and do Combat
Conditioning.
Kick butt - take names.

Matt Furey
P.S. Here's a short letter I received that is pretty funny.
Hey Matt,
Just wanted to tell you how great your exercises are. I think they may
scare some
people. I was doing the Farmer Burns Stomach Flattener in the sauna,
and a guy
walked in. He heard me making the Ssss...sound and his eyes got huge. He
lasted
about 30 seconds before he nervously left in a hurry. You really had to
see the
look on his face. So if you're ever in a sauna and want a little
privacy...do a few
reps of the FBSF and watch how fast the room clears
Eddrick Brooks
M.F.: Many thanks for that story Eddrick, I have to put that one in this
years Top 10.
P.P.S. If you are planning on attending my October Internet Seminar you best hurry and get a ticket. The
price
will be going up very soon, and soon after I will close off
registration because
we'll
be sold out.
