The Man's on a Mission
Dear Friend,
Spent the last couple days with some friends,
one of whom all of us can learn from.
His name is Jerome - and he has a ritual that
he does everyday, without fail.
After my seminar ended on Saturday afternoon,
a group of us went out to eat and many in the group
had a few drinks. Jerome was one of them. Yet, when
it came time for bed - which happened to be 3:30 a.m.
for Jerome, he went into the hallways of the Marriott and
began cracking Hindu pushups and squats.
I was up talking to a few guys in the lobby and Jerome
was in his private domain, breaking one helluva sweat.
Last night Jerome, my brother Sean and I were up late
at my home talking about a business idea. When the clock
hit 1:30 a.m. - Jerome asked where he could do his Hindu
pushups and squats. I pointed to the tile floor a few feet away
from me. Two minutes later he put on his workout gear and
began cracking.
That's dedication. That's self-discipline. And that is precisely
the sort of ritual that guarantees success.
Simply taking the time to do something every single day,
without fail, is one of the hallmarks of the super successful.
No, you do not have to train as hard as you can everyday.
But you really should be doing something.
