The Dark Side of Fitness
Dear Friend,
There is a Dark Side to Fitness, and I'm going to tell
you what it is in a moment - but not before saying ...
Wow.
This past Saturday we finished our "Secret of Secrets
Ultimate Strength, Health and Power" Seminar - right
here in Tampa, Florida.
Twas 2.5 days of high energy - especially the contests
we held for:
Best Hindu Squats
Best Hindu Pushups
Best Bridge
and Best Bodyweight Exercise
In addition to the above we chose the 2006 Combat Conditioning
Athlete of the Year.
We had many finely tuned competitors who did a spectacular
job: Thomas F. Brown, Alberto Crane, Logan Christopher,
Algie Roberson, Cliff Werner, Anthony Clark, Isaac Kershner,
Andrea Tomio ... and so on.
I know I've missed a number of names, so those who competed
please forgive me if I didn't mention you by name (don't have
the ballots in front of me).
Anyway, the contest was, in one-word: 'SPECTACULAR."
It exceeded everyone's expectations. Even mine.
I will be posting pictures of the winners and place winners
from each event on the web - as well as the overall winner
in a day or so. So stay tuned.
What I'll tell you NOW, though, is that this "first-ever" contest
was HUGE proof that the Combat
Conditioning program and
lifestyle work.
You may have been taught that bodyweight exercises are for
wimps - that REAL men and women lift weights, pump iron,
and so on.
Well, based upon the ever-growing number of people with mutilated
bodies that no longer function properly "because" of weight lifting,
weight training, and so on - and because of the ever-increasing
evidence that Combat Conditioning does more to help YOU than I
have even mentioned, including but not limited to simultaneously
increasing strength, endurance and flexibility - I think you owe it
to yourself to get on the right side of the fence.
Some weeks ago a student in the Matt Furey Inner Circle had a
relapse into weight training - and within a short period was
feeling beat up once again. He then used the term - "The
Dark Side" - in referring to weights.
Got a chuckle out of me, that's for sure. And based on the number
of people with blown shoulders, backs, knees and so on from
the practice of using weights - I think "The Dark Side" is
an appropriate term.
In the early stages, using weights seems like a good idea - but
eventually it bites you in the rear end.
Have a good friend going in for major reconstructive shoulder
surgery next month. What caused the injury.
Weights.
It hurts to see him in so much pain. Yet, he's had my Combat
Conditioning book and DVD's for a couple years. He never
used them. Didn't believe in them. I sincerely wish he had
used them.
I'll speak more on this in the future. In the meantime, make
sure you help spread the word about Combat
Conditioning and
the plethora of benefits.
More to come - and soon.
Kick butt - take names,

Matt Furey
P.S. We had over 100 people at the seminar, many of whom came as a result
of investing in the Chinese Long-Life System. They got to feel even more effects
of this wonderful program, up close and personal. The benefits being raved about
were awesome. If you're over 40 - this IS the type of program you want to be
seriously thinking about.
P.P.S. Special thanks to Brooks Kubik, John Wood,
Ed Baran and Sgt. Keith Hamilton - all of whom did a sensational job
presenting last weekend.
