Army Captain Delivers Knockout Blow to Saddam
Dear Friend,
This morning I went through a heap of email that
was forwarded to me whilst I'm over here in China.
And let me tell ya, there's some great ones. Let's
dig in.
Hey Matt,
Just wanted to thank you for your fantastic program. It is the one thing
that has kept me sane during almost a year in Iraq. I can't wait to get
home and get settled in and figure out when I can make it to one of your
weekend seminars. I have been thriving on just 12-15 minutes
of Royal Court most mornings and I still look and feel better than almost
everyone over here. Thanks again.
Here's a picture for you collection of Royal Court around the globe. These
are the infamous Crossed Sabers in Baghdad where Saddam held his grand
military reviews. I'm definitely glad he is gone and the wonderful Iraqi
people can get on with finding their own way into a prosperous new freedom.
KATN.

M.F.: Captain, thanks a million for sending this. It is truly awesome.
You are one freaking stud and we have something special we'd like
to send you - so please contact Carol by emailing here at matt@mattfurey.com.
This picture is going to motivate a lot of people - and, of course, it's
going to enrage a few others. I love it. Look forward to meeting you
one day and shaking your hand.
Matt,
First of all, I'd like to say thanks for your daily emails,
and for your inspirational example!
Secondly, I want to touch base. I've been using Combat Conditioning solely for the past year and I need to tell you
a little story.
Last night an old lifting buddy of mine asked me to come by
his gym for a workout. I said "Sure, why not? I can use the
cross-training." He told me he wanted to do shoulders and
biceps. I said "Bring it on."
We got started with a little warmup on the rowing machine
(which winded him), then moved on to the weights. After
three sets of cleans and three of upright rows, we moved
on to Arnold presses.
Imagine the shock and dismay of my lifting buddy when I
started on the 45's, moved on to the 50's for the second
set, then on to the 60's for a final set of 8 reps.
At the end of our workout he asked me for some advice.
After telling him about your site, I demonstrated the handstand
pushup -
(my only "shoulder" exercise for the past year), and the
Hindu Pushup. We'll see what happens. Matt, thanks.
Joshua Leeger
M.F.: Joshua, this is great. Reminds me of the story Karl Gotch
told me about the guy who scoffed at him for doing "squats without
weights." They were in the gym - so Karl picked up a set of 40 pound
dumbbells and gave the "scoffer" a set as well. Then he challenged
him to a maximum set. The guy couldn't come close to matching
Karl. Goes to show that the notion that "all your building is endurance"
is pure B.S. Keep up the fine work.
Matt,
I have been doing the Farmer Burns deep-breathing stomach flattener
for the last two weeks. The results are freaky! I have not done one
single crunch or sit-up and I am "spot-reducing," toning, and seriously
strengthening my entire midsection! Thank you for helping us to prove
all of those nay-sayers wrong!
Lambeth, Jr.
M.F.: John, great news. The Farmer Burns Stomach Flattener changes
your body more than can be imagined. Thanks for letting me know
of your results. And for those who don't have the course yet - be sure
to go here and check it out -
also, for the Farmer Burns course, a 1914 by-mail program that taught
both physical culture and wrestling, a true classic, in my opinion.
Matt,
Can I just say that I have been doing the 5 second abs exercises
in Combat Abs for the last couple of days. Of course everyone is
skeptical when they hear of things like this and I was no different.
I can truly say that I can feel that my abs have been worked. I've
done them in the shower, on my drive to work and even sitting at
my desk. I'm in the process of getting your entire Combat Conditioning
book and DVD set so that my son and I can take advantage of your system.
My son is 15 years old, 6'1" 240 lb. offensive lineman for his high school.
There's an opportunity for him to earn a spot on the Varsity team for his
sophmore year and I want to maximize his fitness level so he can literally
"kick butt and take names". Thanks for the advice and hard work.
Mike Kruse
M.F.: Mike, you and your son are on the right track. I wish you great
success.
Well, hope you enjoyed these. Tis all for now.
